FAQs

General

  • Our products are intentionally designed to offer natural sound absorption. Constructed with preserved mosses, they prioritize acoustic benefits. Certified laboratories supply us with comprehensive reports that confirm the preserved natural moss's sound-reducing properties. When installed in an indoor environment, our products assist in softening ambient noise and lowering overall sound levels to comfortable decibels.

  • Yes, we offer customization services to cater to your specific needs and preferences. Our team works closely with you to create a unique design that complements your space and aligns with your vision, ensuring a tailored and personalized experience. Please refer to Customization Working Process.

  • Our preserved materials are harvested worldwide, mainly handpicked in Europe and the United States.

  • Not exactly. Since our products are crafted from real plants, they exhibit natural variations in color and shape. This results in each of our creations being distinct and one-of-a-kind. Additionally, due to software limitations, the mock-up renderings may not fully capture the true beauty of the real moss. In most cases, the finished product is more vibrant and attractive than the mock-ups suggest.

  • Yes, our office is located at 361 Newbury Street, 5th Floor - #9184, Boston, MA 02115. We are open for appointment visits, and we are open M-F from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm.

  • Yes, we offer trade program for design professionals. You can apply for our trade program here.

  • We do provide installation services. For our moss tile and moss logo products, installation is quite simple, and we recommend self-installation to save on additional costs. However, for larger moss wallscapes, we suggest utilizing our installation team to ensure a flawless and professional finish. For more information about installation, please see here.

  • Currently, we primarily receive inquiries for preserved moss options because they require minimal maintenance. While we do not offer living wall services at the moment, we can recommend reputable companies that specialize in living wall installation and maintenance.

Maintenance and Care

    • No watering, trimming, or touching required.

    • Occasionally, a gentle blow on the moss may be necessary to remove dust.

    • Store in a dry environment with temperatures ranging from 64-77°F.

    • Prevent crushing or compression.

    • No exposure to direct sunlight.

    • Avoid placing near strong indirect sunlight, such as behind a glass surface.

    • Keep away from humidity levels above 80% or below 40%.

    • Indoor use only.

    • Should the moss become dry or rigid, resist touching to avoid disintegration. This could result from excessively high or low humidity in the room. Promptly assess the humidity levels, as imbalances can lead to health concerns such as allergies, headaches, colds, migraines, and muscle pains. Moss is an effective gauge for a room’s optimal humidity.

    • Once humidity levels normalize (between 40% and 80% indoors), the moss will naturally return to its soft and pliable state.

  • The longevity of our products is attributed to the preservation process, which allows them to last for more than 8 years when properly maintained and cared for under suitable conditions.

    • Upon installation, the moss may emit a forest-like scent, which typically dissipates within 1-4 weeks.

    • If necessary, use a deodorizer by spraying it two to three feet away from the moss wall, never directly onto it.

  • During periods of low humidity, such as in winter when indoor heating and reduced ventilation contribute to drier conditions, the moss may become dry. It is essential not to directly spray the moss with any liquid, as this could dissolve the salt and food coloring. Instead, consider increasing humidity by improving air circulation or using a humidifier. The moss will not suffer permanent damage from temporary or occasional dryness and will regain its softness once the humidity levels rise.

Installation

  • Felt Substrate Installation

    Steps:

    1. Peel the white backing

    2. Attach the Moss LOGO on to the desingted surface

    3. Secure the Moss LOGO with an air nail gun, if needed.

    Z - Clip Installation

Your moss product comes with one side of the clip attached to the back of the product. You just need to attach the other side of the clip to the wall using screws. Once both sides of the clip are securely attached, you can carefully hang your moss art on the clips and adjust the positioning to achieve the desired look.
